Are you making healthy smoothies yet for yourself or family?  If  you have not hopped on the “smoothie craze” then you must be living under a rock!  – just saying.   But no fear, it’s 2015 and we have a sunny new year ahead of us brimming with possibilities.  How about making this the year you try your hand at a fast, super healthy, scrumptious meal-in-a-glass otherwise called, a smoothie!

Did you see bonus reason #11?  Yes, that’s right; once you start making fresh smoothies every day,  you will notice a decrease in the amount of colds and flu you are noticing.  I know this from personal experience so I am sure you won’t see that anywhere else!

My daughter used to catch strep throat every year.  One year I received a Vita Mix for Christmas and started making healthy smoothies for the whole family every morning.  That was the end of her colds and strep!  She is in her 20’s now and still drinks smoothies, and has never had strep again.

There are a lot of great blenders on the market and as long as you have one that is powerful, you will be able to make smoothies.  However I wanted a Vita Mix because I wanted to make more than smoothies (but I will blog about that some other time).
